Garlando Table Football Buyers Guide
A Garlando guide to help you choose your football table
To help you choose your table among the various freeplay models Garlando offers, we have provided the guide below. Please read it and make the most of it.

To start find your way...
What is the starting age to use a football table ?
Garlando freeplay tables are certified as suitable to be used by children over 3 years of age, since they comply with the European Harmonized Rules of Safety EN-7. If your children are at least around 5 and appreciate this kind of game, our model
G-100
is specifically suitable, making sure you ask for the version with telescopic safety bars.
G-100
is equipped with height adjustable legs, which make it possible to set the table height at three different levels, to match the children using it. Manufactured with the same components as the bar football tables, with a sturdy cabinet,
G-100
is also convenient for adults.
Other tables children will certainly like arethe G-3000, colourful and extremely original.

G-100
Going-through vs. telescopic bars
Going-through bars protrude from the cabinet, while the telescopic safety bars do not. This prevents dangerous strikes to the childrens' eyes and face. Its use is strongly advised if the football table is meant for children and in the event that the table must be used in a location attended by children.
Glass vs. plastic laminate playing field
The glass playfield (in the smooth, not sandblasted version) allows a faster game, which suits the
no passage
technique. The plastic laminate and the sandblasted glass favour a slower game with a greater control of the ball.
Rotating vs. non-rotating goalkeeper
A fully rotating goalkeeper is able to effect a complete rotation, which makes scoring easier. A non-rotating goalkeeper can only rotate at 180 degrees: scoring is more difficult. The choice depends on how you would like to play, especially if in your country or area a certain habit prevails and you are already accustomed to it while playing in pubs.
Choosing a freeplay football table for a community
The Garlando freeplay tables most suitable for a very intense use are the indoor models
G-500
,
G-5000
and Familiare, or the outdoor
G-500 Weatherproof
and G-2000 Weatherproof.
However, if you believe that the table will undergo a very rough or abusive use, you should go for a coin operated model adjusted for freeplaying.

Choosing a freeplay football table with the same features as the bar models
All freeplay football tables are made with the same components (bars, players, roller bearings, handles) as the bar football tables.
Some models also share the structure in plywood and plastic laminate, while others are built in mdf, a very sturdy material providing robustness and durability.
Unlike other football table manufacturers, Garlando does not employ chipboard.
Indoor or outdoor use ?
Outdoor football tables,
G-500 Weatherproof
and G-2000 Weatherproof, can be used in the open air and at home, all the year long.
Indoor models must be kept indoor and cannot be exposed to rough weather. However, in some cases and taking some precautions they can be brought outdoor. To this purpose, however, it is not possible to set an ever valid rule, since it will be necessary to evaluate the local climate conditions. For example, saltiness may damage the rod chromium-plating even through a partially sheltered veranda. In other cases it may be sufficient to use the protection cover in summer, and to bring the table indoor in winter.

When it is convenient to choose Foldy
The only table in the entire Garlando range that has foldable legs, Foldy can be comfortably moved thanks to two wheels (on the cabinet) and can be stored after usage. It is the ideal table for all places with reduced room.

Main differences between

Very similar at a superficial glance, especially if the
G-100

G-100
is available in 3 different colours: red, blue and beech, G-200 in beech only.
