The different styles for playing on a Garlando football table
There is no single, internationally recognised, set of rules for use on Garlando tables.
We are therefore providing the most popular rules which are adopted on Garlando tables worldwide.

Passage vs. No-Passage
Garlando football tables suit many game styles.
The first style, Passage, incorporates passing in between players on the same rod. The second style, No-Passage, mostly played by Italians, does not allow passing on the same rod. The ball is usually in constant motion and cannot be touched by two players of the same rod before a shot is taken.
The newest style of play on Garlando which is making its first appearance is the famous Goalie Wars. Very popular in the U.S., Goalie Wars is the latest style of play which involves two goalies to go head to head without having forward players on the table.
Passage
- Allowed passing in between players. (Regardless if passing is on same bar)
- 5-men are allowed. At least one pass must be done at the start of the game
- Any dead ball (out of play , frozen etc... ) is given to the respective goalie depending on which zone it froze in.
- Losers ball at all times.
- No Trash Talking.
- You have a maximum of 10 seconds on your bar to shoot or pass.
- All aerials are allowed.( Including Eclipses and Event-Horizons)
- No banging or distractions before the shot has occured. You are allowed banging if it is at the same time as the shot.
No Passage
- Ball should be in constant motion.
- Not allowed to pass in between players vertically and shoot. (On the same bar)
- Allowed to pass from zone to zone.(For example: 3-men to 5-men)
- Allowed to shoot from 5-men.
- Must always hit the wall before shooting.
- No trash talking.(Especially in an Italian Bar)
- Aerial Shots are allowed. (Only if the bounce aerial is done)
- When ball is frozen in a zone or is shot off the table, play resumes with a throw in from the middle.
Goalie Wars
- A coin flip decides the first shooter.
- Both 3 and 5-men rods are lifted up to avoid contact by the ball.
- Everything is accepted and in play except if the ball hits the outer part of the table and manages to go in. If this is the case, the ball is given back to the defender of the shot and game continues.
- A shot that is out of play, (frozen, or totally off the table etc... ) is given to the respective goalie depending on which zone it froze in or exited the table.
- Games are up to 5, and series are ALWAYS best out of 5.
- Once a player makes a save and loses REACH of the ball, the ball is given to the shooter again for another shot.
- All aerials are allowed.(Including Eclipses and Event-Horizons)
- If a shot hits one of the bars, ramps, or walls the goal is good and game continues
- No stationary shots are allowed. The ball must have either moved before the shot, or was in constant motion before the shot took place. Any kind of STATIONARY shots (cut shots, straight shots) are NOT allowed, but pulls and push-kicks are allowed.
- A maximum of 10 seconds is in place for the shooter. HE/She must shoot within the allocated time frame.
